We are growing! There are two exciting opportunities to apply for Coach/Trainer roles within the organization.
This is a contract position.
POSITION TITLE: Coach/Trainer - 2 positions available
POSITION SUMMARY
ONWAA researches, plans, and delivers a full suite of training, mentorship and leadership products designed to assist learners with professional development and growth mainly in the area of social assistance programs. This position requires an individual with knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in the education of Indigenous adults. This position requires learning, further developing and delivering curriculum through an Indigenous lens to various stakeholder groups. A solid work ethic and the ability for travel is a must.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency and knowledge of computer, and software applications, including the use of virtual platforms including Teams, Webex and other technology platforms that support online training.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Ability to facilitate group processes and on-on-one sessions.
Ability to ensure good public relations with stakeholders, including the appreciation of the need for confidentiality, tact and discretion.
Post secondary education; preferably in social work, sociology, health services or adult education will be considered an asset.
PARTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop training curriculum and various social assistance related training packages.
Learn, plan, deliver/facilitate training material(s) to First Nation social service staff and stakeholders, through in-person and virtual platform environments, meeting expected targets.
Assist with coordination and delivery of group workshops and training sessions, as delegated by the Manager.
Communicate and outreach to provide support to stakeholders.
Research and interpret social assistance legislation, government policies and trends, and provide recommendations on curriculum changes required to keep current as they relate to Indigenous communities.
Maintain awareness of new social assistance regulations, delivery policies and best practices.
Mid-term and final reporting of all training initiatives, including keeping statistics; developing training reports to summarize training, identify issues and provide recommendations to enhance service delivery.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Home office with the ability to travel to remote locations, for up to 35 hours per week.
REMUNERATION: $61237.40 – 66898.00.
