Job Title: Communications and Information Officer

Purpose:

ONWAA is seeking a dedicated individual to provide communication support to its membership and stakeholders. This position will advertise, market and provide public relations to members and stakeholders of the organization.  They will analyze, develop and implement communication and promotion strategies and information programs. The Communications and Information Officer will analyze advertising needs and develop appropriate advertising and marketing plans, publicize activities and events, and maintain media relations on behalf of ONWAA. 

Qualifications:

• ·        2 years’ experience
• ·        Diploma or degree in marketing, public relations or related field

Salary Grid: $77,500-83,000

Term:

1 year contract with possibly of extension

Partial Duties and Responsibilities:

• ·        Writes and coordinates the production of various communication tools (brochure, newsletters, press release, etc.);
• ·        Develops and updates multimedia platforms (social media);
• ·        Identifies, writes and adapts content for various internal communication tools (newsletter, memos intranet, etc.);
• ·        Identifies, writes and adapts content for external communication tools (briefing notes to stakeholders, press releases)
• ·        Updates the website, intranet and social media;
• ·        Works to let stakeholders know about sponsorship opportunities of the organization
• ·        Develops sponsorship opportunities, keeps them current, updated and marketed
• ·        Participates in the development, implementation and compliance with communications policies, programs and procedures.
