The Privacy & Third-Party training session will explore best practices of how information is collected, verified and safeguarded and how to obtain specific information required to meet Ontario Works program standards. This training will introduce guidelines for information sharing to conduct third-party verification and will provide participants with an understanding on how to maintain privacy and confidentiality in the workplace. Together we will share third party verification best practices and explore the differences of third party verification of First Nations vs different technology systems.
During this session you will learn how to navigate through information management and privacy issues and concerns from the perspectives of First Nation Delivery Partners, understand how to collect, verify and safeguard information in order to meet Ontario Works program standards, obtain tools and resources to assist with the development of local policies regarding privacy and confidentiality in the workplace, how to develop an Eligibility Verification Process and access Third Party information.
This session is open to First Nation Ontario Works Administrators and staff, Chief & Council and other departments that share an office building with the Ontario Works department.
