Designing Culturally Appropriate Assisted Living Programs - Winnipeg Session

ONWAA is set to host two workshops where assisted living coordinators and staff can gather, discuss, and design elements of a culturally appropriate assisted living program. This two-day interactive workshop will discuss assisted living from an Indigenous lens. Using the medicine wheel, participants will generate possible activities and programming to meet the needs of those they serve from a wholistic perspective. Revitalizing a sense of community and kinship care using traditional values and teachings will be the highlight of session discussions.

Winnipeg session will be hosted February 19-20, 2025, at CanadInn – Regent Destination – 1415 Regent Avenue West Winnipeg Mb. A room block of $162/night may be offered by calling 1-888-33-CANAD and quoting ONWAA rate 761873 by January 21, 2025.
