De-Escalation, Personal Protection & Boundaries - London

This 1.5 day workshop will provide front-line workers with effective skills and strategies needed to de-escalate crisis situations while maintaining personal protection and minimizing harm. Participants will learn how to recognize escalating situations and how to safely respond using communication and verbal intervention techniques. 

Learning Objectives

• Ability to identify stages of an escalating situation and how to apply the appropriate intervention techniques. 
• Assess safety risks and implement management strategies to respond skillfully and professionally to prevent and minimize harm. 
• Establish consistent de-escalation response procedures to maintain the safety of service providers and community members. 
• Build and maintain relationships to reduce the potential for escalating or violent behaviour and crisis situations.

This session will run on April 30th & May 1st, 2024 from 9:00am to 4:00pm on day 1 and 9:00am to 12:00pm on day 2.
