PURPOSE

ONWAA is seeking a digital content creator to assist in the development of our LMS.  This position will develop digital engagement elements for our LMS.   Our LMS requires creativity, and innovation that recognizes the needs and development of our Indigenous membership. The digital content creator will align their design elements and contributions with ONWAA’s mission statement. In this role, you will help ONWAA engage our Indigenous virtual audience through inspiring, thought provoking and conversation starting videos and virtual elements that highlight our programs, services and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Post-secondary diploma or degree in Multi-media design, Audio and Film Design and Production, Game-Art, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design or other relevant program.

·        The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience in content development, communications, marketing or other business capacity including audio and videography.

·        The candidate will demonstrate experience creating strong, engaging content for diverse audiences through a portfolio of applicable previous work including audio and videography.

·        Experience in video and audio creating, editing and uploading.

·        Experience with Media Conversion Tools.

·        Knowledge of Adobe Captivate/Adobe Premiere/Creative Cloud,  or other eLearning authoring tools is an asset.

·        Knowledgeable of Indigenous Issues and culture.

PARTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION:

·        Support projects in a variety of digital content creation; developing gamification elements, filming videos, recording and/or curating audio, and editing and post-production of videos for LMS use.

·        Develop original audio and visual animations, podcasts and promotional content for websites,  social media, etc.

·        Using a variety of technology develop quizzes, activities and LMS elements.

·        Monitor industry best practices and identify new methods of engaging members.

·        Design innovative and effective virtual elements aligned with ONWAA’s core brand identity.

·        Develop, curate and maintain social media content and strategize to enhance social media branding and promotional opportunities with a digital team.

·        Design a variety of communication materials for ONWAA’s website and LMS environment.

·        Call upon Social Assistance Subject Matter experts to assist with providing stories for the LMS relevant to the curriculum.

·        Develop engaging pieces of content in conjunction with a team to provide an enhanced LMS environment.

·        Troubleshoot technology and software issues within the context of the apps being used to design elements for the LMS.

Salary:  Based on ONWAA Salary Grid $54500-60,000 dependent on qualifications

Location:  Work from Home arrangements will be made.
