Ontario Works staff are responsible for verifying an applicant and/or recipients information to determine and monitor eligibility for the Ontario Works program. Determinations of eligibility and eligibility reviews include third party checks, which are completed to verify eligibility related information provided by a recipient.
This training will provide participants with an understanding on how to access third party information to assist with decisions of eligibility and will introduce guidelines for information sharing to conduct third party verification with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Equifax, Family Responsibility Office (FRO) and more. Together we will share third party verification and eligibility review best practices and explore the differences of third party verification of First Nations vs. different technology systems.
